The Yarn Tree: A Fiber Arts Studio + Store

The Yarn Tree is a specialty yarn shop committed to providing its customers with an impressive variety of high-quality yarns. Opened in summer 2001 in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, the shop is owned and run by weaver and fiber-expert Linda LaBelle, who also uses the space to work at her looms and to teach a variety of classes in knitting and spinning. Linda has stocked her store with yarns from around the United States and the world, as well as bamboo needles and other notions for knitting and crochet. You will find yarn from Green Mountain Spinnery in Vermont, Koigu, Harrisville Design in New Hampshire, Treliske from New Zealand, and Rowan to name a few.

Store hours are Monday through Thursday from 5:30 to 10:00pm and Friday through Sunday from noon to 8:00pm, but it’s possible you may find us open on the odd weekday morning or afternoon, so call ahead to be sure!

Classes run Monday - Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoon during store hours, but customers are welcome to shop and observe the class as there will always be someone there to answer your questions and facilitate your shopping.
