2-day Ikat Warp Workshop
You will come up with your own simple design, learn how to tie the resist and dye your warp in Indigo. We will dye the warp in stages, by the time you are finished you will have dark, medium and light indigo as well as the original white of the warp in your design. I am super excited to be able to offer this workshop!!!! We held one workshop a couple of weeks ago and the results were fantastic.

The workshop will take place on Saturday & Sunday July 25th & 26th. It will run from 10 - 6 each day, with a short break for lunch.

Day 1
AM - we will sketch out design ideas and make our warp.
PM - we will begin the tying process

Day 2
AM - finish the tying proces
PM - dye the warp

We will use a natural ferment indigo vat. You will have enough yarn to make a warp of 118 ends - 11" wide on the loom and a warp length of 3 1/2 yards. This will give you a scarf that is approximately 72" X 10" with fringe on either end. We will be using a Bamboo Silk blend for the warp that takes the indigo beautifully!! The cost for the workshop is $275.00 plus a materials fee of $65.00.
