Dried  and Crushed Japanese Indigo Leaves

Dried and Crushed Japanese Indigo Leaves - Persicaria tinctoria from my garden in Roanoke, VA. 
These Dried and Crushed Japanese Indigo Leaves were harvested by hand and sun-dried. No pesticides are used on my plants.
The dried leaves work with protein fibers, silk, wool, and cellulose - cotton, linen, etc.
The indigo must be extracted from the dried leaves.
This method will require both Soda Ash and Thiourea Dioxide.
100 grams of leaves will dye approximately 10 ounces of goods to a medium shade.
