Welcome to The Yarn Tree
Support Shibori in Oaxaca, Mexico, 2026
Workshop for Local Artisans, January 2026
I’m returning to Teotitlán del Valle, Oaxaca, Mexico, from January 6–9, 2026, to teach a 4-day Shibori (Japanese tie-dye) workshop at the Centro Cultural Comunitario Teotitlán del Valle (CCCdeTV) to 12 local artisans.
Participants will learn to make an Indigo/Ferrous Vat, explore Shibori techniques, and leave with:
• 12 dyed cotton samples
• 2 completed bandanas
• Their own Indigo Vat for continued use
I donate my time and materials, and the Community Center provides the space.

Please note that at this time, I am no longer shipping to EU countries. The shipping regulations for collecting VAT have changed and become too complicated and expensive for a small business like mine. |
