This beautiful Indigofera guatemalensis powder comes from Hacienda Los Nacimientos in El Salvador, Central America. The indigo is grown organically and the entire process from planting to extraction is done by hand. This year's indigo crop survived 2 tropical storms and the pandemic!
This organization is headed by Rhina Rehmann. She is responsible for reviving indigo production in El Salvador.
The indigo was tested and shows that it is very strong - 76.1% indigotin! This is some of the finest indigo in the world!
This is a natural, pure plant product. There are numerous ways to make an indigo vat for dyeing. I suggest finding a good book, do some research on-line, or take a workshop. Indigo is magical to work with and creates a blue like no other.
