The Giant Marigolds flowers are grown organically in my dye garden in Roanoke, VA.
Once harvested the petals are sun-dried.
Color – Golden Yellow

Giant Marigolds work best on wool or silk but can be used on cotton.
1 ounce of dried flowers (30 grams) will dye 6 - 8 ounces of mordanted goods (170 - 250 grams) to a light shade, use 2 ounces (60 grams) for a darker shade.
A quick dip in an iron afterbath will yield olive green.
