pH Strips

Easy to use pH strips, perfect for working with natural dyes! Provides distinct color for ten pH readings in the range of 1 to 14. Many natural dyes are affected by pH, none more so than indigo.

For instance an indigo vat for wool and silk should be at a pH of 10 - 10.5, cotton should be at 10.5 - 11 for best results.  When you know the pH of your vat you can then control it by reducing or increasing the pH.
